its whimsical and slightly pathetical

I want to save you

from terrors and tears

it leaves me sideways

bent over and feeling

vaguely ridiculous

given the clear inability

to do

enough

But

if I pull the warm breath of my girls

and their magic from atop my bed sheets

I know I’ll find you

a pink dream

for you to give away
tomorrow morning
