today

all of a sudden my body cracked open

my arms elongated across the table
the murmurs so soft and swift
i barely hear them
under my heavy legs
that you swindle up and down
but only once
to just leave them there
as if they actually belong to me
in the meanwhile,
my body cracked open

you stared
grabbed a needle and a thread
and sewn it
piece by piece
apparently unaffected by such an awkward disturbance
in the flow of things
